About the Role
WesTrac is seeking a motivated Plant Mechanic to join our team. As a Plant Mechanic, you will be responsible for rebuilding, servicing, and maintaining CAT equipment, including dozers, loaders, and off-highway trucks. What You'll Do
- Perform scheduled maintenance and overhauls on CAT equipment.
- Restore equipment to peak operating condition, focusing on safety and quality.
- Collaborate with the Workshop Supervisor to ensure all tasks are completed efficiently.
- Utilize your mechanical expertise to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repairs performed.
Requirements
- Certificate III in Mobile Plant Technology or equivalent Mechanical trade qualification.
- Experience in heavy industry, particularly with Caterpillar equipment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Unrestricted Drivers Licence.
- Attention to detail and commitment to quality standards.
Nice to Have
- Experience rebuilding mobile mining equipment and components.
- Familiarity with Caterpillar underground hard rock mining equipment.

Who Will Succeed Here
