About the Role

We are seeking a talented Physics Simulator Engineer remote to join our innovative team at P-1 AI. This role is pivotal in building the physics simulators that teach our AI, Archie, how the real world operates. You will develop first-principles, acausal models of thermofluid and electrical systems, generating large-scale synthetic datasets that enhance Archie’s reasoning about physical systems.

What You'll Do

  • Develop and implement physics simulations for thermofluid and electrical systems.
  • Generate synthetic datasets to improve AI reasoning capabilities.
  • Collaborate with ML engineers to translate simulation outputs into real-world applications.
  • Work on a variety of systems including chillers, air handlers, and transformers.
  • Test models across thousands of operating conditions and design variants.

Requirements

  • Strong background in physics or engineering.
  • Experience with simulation software and modeling techniques.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Passion for learning and developing innovative solutions.
  • Entry-level experience is welcome; we value talent over experience.
