About the Role

We are seeking a Pharmacy Intern – Patient Counseling & Phone Support to support patient counseling and clinical call center operations under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist. This remote Pharmacy Intern role focuses on patient education, medication support, and call-based engagement to ensure patients understand their therapy, adhere to treatment plans, and have a positive experience with our pharmacy services. As a Pharmacy Intern, you will gain hands-on experience in patient communication, medication safety, and collaborative clinical workflows while supporting safe and compliant pharmacy operations.

What You'll Do

  • Conduct outbound and inbound patient phone calls under pharmacist supervision.
  • Assist with patient counseling related to medication administration and adherence strategies.
  • Document all patient interactions in compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Support licensed pharmacists by identifying medication-related issues.
  • Participate in quality assurance and safety workflows.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with internal teams.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in an accredited Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) program.
  • Active Pharmacy Intern license in Ohio (or ability to obtain).
  • Strong interest in patient counseling and remote healthcare delivery.
  • Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Compassionate, patient-centered mindset.
  • Comfort using technology platforms.
