We are seeking a dedicated Part-Time Janitor/Custodian to join our team at Hope Community Resources in Soldotna, Alaska. In this flexible role, you will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and hygiene in our facilities, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for our clients and staff. What You'll Do

• Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and dusting.
• Sanitize bathrooms and common areas to maintain a hygienic environment.
• Empty trash and ensure waste is disposed of properly.
• Conduct limited general maintenance tasks such as changing lightbulbs and fire detector batteries.
• Maintain outdoor walkways by spreading sand or ice melt as necessary.
• Operate cleaning equipment and use cleaning chemicals safely and effectively.
• Lift and move items up to 50 lbs as required for cleaning and maintenance tasks.
• Drive to various locations as needed for cleaning duties.

Requirements

• Valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle.
• Ability to operate cleaning equipment and handle cleaning chemicals.
• Physical capability to climb ladders, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Prior janitorial or custodial experience is preferred but not required.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining cleanliness.
