.NET Lead/Consultant/Architect - AWS Migration Specialist
About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled .NET Lead/Consultant/Architect to join our team and lead the migration and modernization of applications to AWS. This is a full-time position based in the United States, where you will have the opportunity to work on cutting-edge cloud-native development projects. As a .NET Lead/Consultant/Architect, you will play a crucial role in shaping the architecture and guiding teams through the migration process.
What You'll Do
- Architect and lead the migration of .NET applications to AWS Landing Zones, utilizing both lift & shift and modernization strategies.
- Break down monolithic .NET applications into scalable microservices using .NET Core/.NET 6+.
- Design cloud-native solutions leveraging AWS services such as Lambda, API Gateway, SQS, SNS, Step Functions, S3, DynamoDB, Glue, and RDS PostgreSQL.
- Provide architectural guidance and technical leadership to ensure successful implementation of solutions.
- Enable DevOps automation through CI/CD, Docker, Kubernetes/EKS, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
- Ensure scalability, security, resiliency, and cost optimization across AWS workloads.
- Drive engineering best practices, conduct code reviews, and implement quality frameworks.
Requirements
- 12+ years of experience in C#, .NET Framework, .NET Core/.NET 6/7/8.
- Strong expertise in microservices, REST APIs, and event-driven systems.
- Proven track record of modernizing legacy .NET applications to .NET Core.
- Hands-on experience with AWS services including Lambda, SQS, SNS, Step Functions, S3, RDS, and DynamoDB.
- Strong database skills with SQL Server, PostgreSQL, DynamoDB, and Redis.
- DevOps experience with CI/CD pipelines, Docker, and Kubernetes/EKS.
- Familiarity with testing tools such as xUnit, NUnit, Moq, and Testcontainers.
- Strong understanding of architectural patterns, including Domain-Driven Design (DDD) and Clean Architecture.
Nice to Have
- AWS certification (Solutions Architect / Developer / DevOps).
- Experience in large-scale enterprise modernization programs.
- Strong communication skills and stakeholder leadership experience.
- Exposure to Generative AI concepts (LLMs, embeddings, simple RAG patterns).
- Basic understanding of prompt engineering and LLM integration.
- Familiarity with Agentic AI concepts (AI agents, workflow automation).
- Some experience with vector databases (OpenSearch, Pinecone, Redis Vector).
- Awareness of AWS Bedrock services and foundational models (Claude, Llama, Titan).
