About the Role

We are SeproTec, a leading company in Translation, Interpreting, and Cultural Mediation. We are currently seeking a Nepali-English Interpreter or Cultural Mediator to join our team remotely. This position is focused on asylum and migration contexts, offering a unique opportunity to work on meaningful topics that impact lives. As a Nepali-English Interpreter or Cultural Mediator, you will play a crucial role in facilitating communication and understanding across cultures.

What You'll Do

• Provide liaison and consecutive interpreting services in Nepali and English.
• Work remotely, collaborating with a diverse team of professionals.
• Engage in meaningful discussions related to asylum and migration.
• Utilize your cultural mediation skills to bridge gaps between different cultural contexts.
• Ensure accurate and effective communication for clients and stakeholders.

Requirements

• Must be a native or advanced level speaker of Nepali and English.
• At least 3 years of experience in interpreting or cultural mediation.
• Ability to provide a non-criminal record not older than 3 months.
• Must have an EU work permit and currently reside in the EU.
• Experience in asylum and migration contexts is preferred.

Nice to Have

• Previous freelance interpreting experience.
• Familiarity with cultural mediation practices.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
