Middle School Science Teacher - Remote Opportunity

About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated Middle School Science Teacher to join our team remotely. This role is vital in preparing students for success in both college and the global workforce. As a Middle School Science Teacher, you will be responsible for the academic, social, and emotional development of students, fostering a positive learning environment.

What You'll Do

• Build strong relationships with parents and families to foster trust and collaboration.
• Promote and support academic programs based on standards mastery.
• Examine student assessment data to inform decision-making and guide instruction.
• Utilize a variety of instructional methodologies to engage students effectively.
• Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of all learners.
• Plan, organize, and deliver engaging lessons while submitting lesson plans to the assigned administrator.
• Maintain a classroom atmosphere conducive to learning and student success.
• Collaborate with fellow staff on student support and curriculum design.

Requirements

• An undergraduate degree in biology, chemistry, physics, or a related content area (preferred).
• 1-3 years of teaching experience (preferred).
• ESOL endorsement (if applicable).
• Current FLDOE certification or statement of eligibility in the Grades 6-12 subject area.
• Ability to engage in home visits as per protocol.

Nice to Have

• Experience with co-planning and co-teaching.
• Familiarity with integrating literacy strategies into science instruction.
