About the Role

We are seeking a Mid to Senior Electrical/I&C Designer to join our dynamic team at Kiewit. This Electrical/I&C Designer remote position offers the chance to work on exciting projects in the industrial sector, particularly in Hyperscale Data Centers and Water/Wastewater facilities. You will be part of a collaborative team that values innovation and excellence in engineering design.

What You'll Do

  • Utilize Revit 3D and Smartplant 3D design tools to create detailed electrical systems designs for industrial facilities.
  • Draft drawings including wiring, power distribution diagrams, electrical schematics, and circuit diagrams.
  • Ensure compliance with codes and standards while completing assignments with minimal supervision.
  • Identify changes in project scope and produce necessary design adjustments to maintain budget and schedule.
  • Work collaboratively with multi-disciplined teams to achieve project goals and deliver high-quality results.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or Associate's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering Technology.
  • A minimum of 4 years of experience in Electrical and/or I&C design/drafting, including proficiency in 3D and 2D modeling.
  • Intermediate to advanced skills in Revit, AutoCAD, and Smartplant 3D.
  • Experience with electrical layouts, P&IDs, One Line Diagrams, and Panel designs.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Nice to Have

  • Experience leading projects and teams in an EPC environment.
  • Knowledge of NEC code and ANSI/IEEE standards.
  • Experience with design for construction and Design/Build projects.
