Mid-Senior Data Engineer - Banking & IT Services

About the Role

We are looking for a skilled Data Engineer to join our team at Raiffeisen Group IT GmbH. As a Data Engineer remote, you will play a crucial role in managing data integration from multiple sources and developing data pipelines, ETL processes, and data warehousing solutions. What You'll Do

• Manage data integration of multiple sources to ensure seamless data flow.
• Further develop data pipelines, ETL processes, data warehouse, data interfaces, reports, and BI solutions (OLAP, Dashboards).
• Conduct ad-hoc data analysis to support business needs.
• Create proof-of-concepts, prototypes, and spikes to demonstrate new solutions.
• Proactively ensure code quality and testing to maintain high standards.
• Address non-functional requirements to improve system performance.

Requirements

• Engineering mindset with a passion for data science.
• Professional knowledge in DWH / Data Models (dimensional, data vault, relational, NoSQL).
• Professional experience with ETL tools (Pentaho Data Integration or similar).
• Strong SQL skills and experience with DBMS (PostgreSQL).
• Experience with BI tools (QlikView / QlikSense or similar).
• Familiarity with software engineering concepts like Scrum, CI/CD, and TDD.
• German language skills are a plus.

Nice to Have

• Experience in Linux / Bash.
• Experience in Cloud Environments / Docker.
• Knowledge of Python and Java.
