Mechanical Fitter - Remote Opportunities

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Fitter to join our team at Altrad, where you will have the opportunity to work on a variety of air-operated tooling and associated equipment. This Mechanical Fitter remote position supports the delivery of the Group’s business objectives by ensuring all equipment is safe, reliable, and ready for operational use.

What You'll Do

• Service, maintain, and repair air-operated hand tools and pneumatic equipment.
• Diagnose mechanical and pneumatic faults and carry out effective repairs.
• Conduct pre-hire and post-hire inspections of equipment.
• Prepare equipment for deployment to customer sites while ensuring compliance with safety standards.
• Maintain clean and organized work areas and accurately record work completed in our asset management system.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Mechanical Fitter or in a similar role.
• Strong mechanical fault-finding skills and experience with pneumatic systems.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and diagrams.
• Competent using workshop tools and measuring equipment.
• Good understanding of mechanical components and assemblies.

Nice to Have

• Previous experience in the Oil and Gas Industry.
• Experience with blasting equipment and surface preparation tools.
• Knowledge of fluid handling systems and pumps.
