Manufacturing Automation Engineer - Remote Opportunity

About the Role

We are seeking a talented Manufacturing Automation Engineer to join our team remotely. In this role, you will apply your engineering expertise to enhance production processes, ensuring efficiency and quality in manufacturing operations.

What You'll Do

• Design and layout equipment or workspaces to achieve maximum efficiency.
• Program, simulate, and test automated machinery and processes to complete specific tasks.
• Implement continuous improvement methods such as lean manufacturing to enhance quality and reduce costs.
• Evaluate manufactured products according to specifications and quality standards.
• Communicate manufacturing capabilities and production schedules to facilitate smooth operations.
• Investigate and resolve operational problems, such as bottlenecks and material variances.
• Prepare documentation for new manufacturing processes and engineering procedures.
• Provide technical expertise and support related to manufacturing operations.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, electrical, or industrial engineering with a focus on controls.
• 3+ years of experience in automation system design.
• Proficiency in programming, preferably in C#.
• Strong troubleshooting skills and a solid understanding of computer programming.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent communication skills.
• Attention to detail and the ability to multi-task effectively.
• Intermediate knowledge of machine operations and the ability to read blueprints.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform tasks in both office and production environments.
