Manager, Sales Development - SME & Growth

About the Role

We are seeking a Manager, Sales Development to join our dynamic team at Airwallex. This remote Manager, Sales Development position will allow you to lead a highly motivated team while working closely with small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) to drive growth and innovation in the global economy.

What You'll Do

• Lead and develop a world-class team of Sales Development Representatives (SDRs) responsible for generating a robust sales pipeline.
• Conduct strategic research and cold calling to identify and qualify new business opportunities.
• Oversee SDR performance management, ensuring the team meets or exceeds key sales metrics such as SQLs and pipeline contribution.
• Establish best-in-class handoff processes to ensure SDR-generated leads are nurtured and converted effectively by Account Executives.
• Implement structured training programs for SDRs on market nuances, qualification criteria, and customer engagement best practices.
• Develop a quality control framework that includes call reviews, outreach messaging audits, and feedback loops.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in high-performance SDR or Account Executive roles, with at least 2 years in a leadership capacity.
• Proven ability to hire, train, and develop top-tier sales talent.
• Strong understanding of B2B outbound prospecting and pipeline development.
• Familiarity with AI-powered sales engagement tools and CRM workflows.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

• Experience or understanding of the fintech/payment industry.
