Manager, Finance - Merchandising Remote

About the Role

We are looking for a Manager, Finance - Merchandising Remote to join our dynamic team at Spreetail. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in shaping the financial strategies that drive our e-commerce business forward. As a key player in our finance team, you will provide essential insights and analysis to support our merchandising efforts, ensuring our brands can expand their market share globally while optimizing operational costs.

What You'll Do

• Analyze pricing strategies and product performance to enhance profitability.
• Build and maintain financial models and forecasts that inform critical business decisions.
• Utilize tools such as SQL, Snowflake, Power BI, and advanced Excel for data analysis.
• Deliver actionable insights through PVM analysis to support merchandising strategies.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align financial goals with merchandising objectives.
• Support budgeting and assortment planning to maximize growth opportunities.
• Drive margin optimization initiatives to improve overall financial performance.
• Provide financial storytelling to influence key business decisions in a fast-paced retail environment.

Requirements

• 4–7 years of experience in financial analysis or merchandising finance.
• Proven experience with pricing, promotions, and category profitability.
• Hands-on experience with new SKU or assortment launches.
• Ability to conduct marketing spend analysis effectively.
• Strong foundation in Finance, Accounting, or Data Analytics.
• Excellent communication skills for cross-functional collaboration.
• Experience in traditional retail or e-commerce finance.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to create automated reports and dashboards for enhanced decision-making.
• Knowledge of inventory economics is a plus.
