Local Production Magician for Devcon 8 - Remote

About the Role

We are hiring a Local Production Magician for Devcon 8 to join our dynamic team at the Ethereum Foundation. This role is fully remote, allowing you to contribute from anywhere while being an integral part of our in-house event production team. As a Production Magician, you will utilize your local knowledge and event production experience to ensure that Devcon 8, taking place in India from November 3-6, 2026, is a resounding success.

What You'll Do

• Manage diverse requests from partner teams and assist in event production tasks.
• Oversee and coordinate with vendors including AV, ticketing, catering, and security.
• Facilitate collaboration among vendors to enhance the event experience.
• Organize logistics and manage volunteer teams effectively.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with speakers and collaborators.
• Communicate efficiently with the broader Devcon team on production needs.
• Proactively troubleshoot issues that arise during the planning and execution phases.
• Utilize project management tools such as Notion, Telegram, and Google Docs for effective communication and organization.

Requirements

• Proven experience in organizing medium to large events (minimum 1000 attendees).
• Strong local vendor connections and experience managing event logistics.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Fluency in English; knowledge of Marathi, Hindi, or Gujarati is a plus.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends leading up to the event.
• Must be based in Mumbai or willing to relocate for the event preparation.
• Ownership mentality with a focus on delivering high-quality results.

Nice to Have

• Experience organizing events at JIO Centre.
• Familiarity with local event pricing and market analysis.
• Prior experience with project management tools.
