About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated Library Associate Teacher to join our team remotely. This position is crucial in supporting the librarian, teachers, and students in maintaining the efficient operation of the library media center. As a Library Associate Teacher remote, you will play a significant role in enhancing the educational experience for students in grades K-6.

What You'll Do

• Assist in the administration of the circulation desk and ensure smooth operations.
• Prepare and process library materials for student and faculty use.
• Maintain the library collection and manage interlibrary loan requests.
• Provide guidance to students and faculty on utilizing the library media center effectively.
• Interact with students throughout the day, fostering a supportive learning environment.
• Manage continual interruptions and shifting job priorities with professionalism.
• Collaborate with teachers to integrate library resources into classroom activities.

Requirements

• Completion of at least two years of postsecondary study at an institution of higher education, or an associate's (or higher) degree.
• Library or clerical education and/or experience preferred.
• Excellent computer skills are essential, with experience in Google Apps for Educators preferred.
• Proficiency in 21st-century skills is a plus.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Good interpersonal skills and a willingness to work with students and teachers.
• Ability to manage interruptions and adapt to changing priorities.
• Willingness to accept supervision and feedback.

• Experience in a school library setting.

• Background in child development or education.
