Level Designer - Remote Position for Racing Game Development

About the Role

We are looking for a talented Level Designer to join our team at Electric Square, working remotely on exciting racing game projects. As a Level Designer, you will be responsible for creating engaging and immersive track designs that enhance the player experience. What You'll Do

• Design and build fun track ribbons of varying complexity and difficulty.
• Inject personality into our games through creative track design.
• Prototype innovative levels and gameplay concepts using 3D modeling tools.
• Collaborate closely with environment artists and game designers to ensure cohesive gameplay experiences.
• Conduct regular playtesting sessions to gather user feedback and iterate on designs.
• Stay updated on trending track design techniques and apply them to project objectives.
• Share your expertise with peers and contribute to a collaborative team environment.
• Maintain a strong understanding of motorsport and racing principles.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in racing game development.
• At least 1 published racing title in a track design capacity.
• Proficient in 3D level prototyping and modeling using tools like Max, Maya, and Unreal.
• Strong technical ability with game engine technologies.
• Expertise in game design concepts and 2D track layouts.
• Ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively within a team.
• Enthusiastic gamer with a passion for track design and game development methodologies.
• Experience working in Unity is a plus.
