About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated Level 3 Speech Pathologist to join our team in a remote capacity. This role offers a unique opportunity to work within a dynamic environment while providing essential clinical services to the Swallowing & Voice Outpatient Clinic. As a Level 3 Speech Pathologist, you will play a crucial role in the assessment and management of complex swallowing and voice disorders for adult clients linked with ENT. You will also participate in the weekend roster for the Admitted Speech Pathology service.

What You'll Do

  • Provide advanced clinical services in the assessment and management of swallowing and voice disorders.
  • Conduct instrumental assessments including Fibreoptic Endoscopic Evaluation of Swallow (FEES) and videofluoroscopy.
  • Communicate effectively across various teams to advocate for patient-centered care.
  • Lead quality and safety improvement activities within the department.
  • Manage personal workload and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Commit to ongoing professional development and training.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Speech Pathology or equivalent, eligible for full practicing membership of Speech Pathology Australia.
  • Demonstrated experience in evidence-based clinical practices related to swallowing and voice disorders.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Leadership experience in quality improvement initiatives.
  • Ability to manage a diverse workload and prioritize effectively.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with tracheostomy and laryngectomy patients.
  • Familiarity with telehealth services.
  • Previous experience in a remote working environment.
