About the Role
AST SpaceMobile is seeking a Legal Intern - Regulatory Affairs (Remote) to join our innovative team. As a Legal Intern, you will assist the Regulatory Affairs team in shaping the future of global cellular broadband networks in space. This position is designed for current JD candidates who are passionate about space, communications, and administrative law.
What You'll Do
- Work closely with in-house and outside counsel to support regulatory compliance efforts.
- Draft FCC license applications and regulatory documents essential for our operations.
- Summarize and analyze regulatory filings and decisions to inform our strategies.
- Conduct legal research and assist with compliance activities to ensure adherence to regulations.
- Collaborate with experienced legal professionals and gain insights into the space communications industry.
Requirements
- Current JD candidate at an accredited law school, preferably a rising 2L or 3L.
- Demonstrated interest in space, communications, or administrative law.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills are essential for this role.
- Experience with legal research platforms (e.g., Westlaw, LexisNexis) is a plus.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with document management tools (e.g., SharePoint, iManage).
- Strong writing, research, and analytical abilities, with attention to detail for accuracy in documentation.
