Legal Compliance Manager - Remote Role at Thumbtack

About the Role

We're looking for a Legal Compliance Manager - Remote to join Thumbtack, a rapidly growing technology company that connects homeowners with local professionals. In this role, you'll lead and mature our privacy compliance program while supporting AI compliance efforts during a period of rapid product evolution.

What You'll Do

• Lead and mature privacy and AI compliance programs.
• Own and operate compliance processes like DPIAs and regulatory audits.
• Partner cross-functionally to embed legal requirements into operations.
• Track compliance commitments and identify gaps.
• Develop training and documentation on compliance obligations.
• Continuously improve compliance processes.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree and 7+ years of experience in privacy compliance.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. and global privacy laws.
• Experience leading cross-functional compliance initiatives.
• Hands-on experience with privacy tooling and data mapping.
• Solid understanding of compliance program management.
• Strong collaboration skills and a pragmatic mindset.

Nice to Have

• Experience in technology or SaaS environments.
• Familiarity with AI compliance frameworks.
• Certifications in privacy compliance (e.g., CIPP, CIPM).
