Lead Solidity & Smart Contract Developer - Remote

About the Role

Ironclad Ledger is seeking a Lead Solidity & Smart Contract Developer to join our innovative blockchain development team. This remote position offers the flexibility to work full-time or part-time (20+ hours/week) while contributing to cutting-edge projects across Ethereum, Solana, and custom blockchain networks. As a Lead Solidity & Smart Contract Developer, you will play a crucial role in architecting and securing foundational smart contracts that advance the Web3 ecosystem.

What You'll Do

• Architect, develop, and deploy secure, efficient, and gas-optimized smart contracts for DeFi protocols and cross-chain systems.
• Conduct and oversee rigorous smart contract audits, including code reviews, security assessments, and formal verification.
• Lead the design of smart contract systems, ensuring scalability, upgradeability, and seamless integration with other components.
• Establish and enforce smart contract development standards, security practices, and testing frameworks for the team.
• Provide deep technical leadership, mentor developers, and stay ahead of the latest advancements in Ethereum and smart contract security.

Requirements

• Hands-on experience with key Ethereum standards (EIPs/ERCs), including ERC-20, ERC-4626, ERC-721, and understanding of related patterns.
• Mastery of Solidity and smart contract development tools (Hardhat/Foundry, Truffle).
• Experience with testing frameworks and a commitment to comprehensive testing (unit, integration, fork).
• Ability to design secure architectures from first principles and identify subtle vulnerabilities.
• Strong communication skills for articulating complex designs and risks to stakeholders.

Nice to Have

• Experience with Layer 2 solutions and cross-chain interoperability.
• Familiarity with decentralized finance (DeFi) protocols.
• Previous experience in a leadership role within blockchain development.
