Key Account Manager - National Account Program (Remote)

About the Role

We are seeking a Key Account Manager to join our team in a remote capacity. In this role, you will drive long-term business success by mastering sales strategies, nurturing customer relationships, and identifying new opportunities. Your efforts will directly contribute to building reliable veterinary supply chains that ensure pets receive the care they need.

What You'll Do

  • Directly manage accounts according to agreed targets and company guidelines, eliciting customer needs and selling the Kuehne+Nagel offer portfolio.
  • Actively hunt for new customers to expand the portfolio and drive business growth.
  • Understand the customer’s organization and decision-making process, as well as their business model and competitive environment.
  • Negotiate rates and service contracts with customers, ensuring all commercial requirements are documented and maintained.
  • Comply with Kuehne+Nagel sales management processes and systems, ensuring correct and timely updates in the CRM/CoreLog system.
  • Monitor monthly performance against set targets, ensuring immediate actions are taken in case of deviations.
  • Ensure that an account plan is in place based on the Key Account Planning Process applicable for the country.
  • Conduct regular and structured review sessions with assigned customers, focusing on continuous improvement and operational excellence delivery.

Requirements

  • Knowledge and proven experience within a broad range of vertical topics, including supply chain.
  • Proven business development track record in up-selling and cross-selling.
  • Able to manage internal and external stakeholders effectively.
  • Competitive nature with a drive to win opportunities.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills.
