Junior Business Intelligence Analyst - Remote Position

About the Role

We are hiring a Junior Business Intelligence Analyst to join our dynamic team at Optum. This fully remote position allows you to work from anywhere in the United States while contributing to critical projects that enhance our business intelligence capabilities. As a Junior Business Intelligence Analyst, you will play a vital role in migrating legacy BI reporting systems to modern Microsoft BI tools, ensuring that we maintain high standards of data integrity and reporting efficiency.

What You'll Do

• Participate in meetings with internal teams and external stakeholders to support BI reporting initiatives.
• Gather and document business and technical requirements for BI reporting.
• Analyze existing reports and workflows to recommend future designs during the migration to Microsoft BI tools.
• Provide daily and weekly status updates to both internal and external teams.
• Act as a point of contact for end users, offering guidance and troubleshooting support.
• Collaborate effectively with team members to ensure successful project delivery.

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience with Microsoft BI tools or other business intelligence tools.
• 2+ years of experience working in an Agile environment, with familiarity in using an agile tracking tool (Jira preferred).
• 2+ years of database experience.
• 2+ years of experience gathering and documenting requirements.
• Strong communication skills and experience presenting to stakeholders.

Nice to Have

• Experience with Power BI Report Builder.
