IT Network Telecommunications Supervisor - Relocation Support

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced IT Network Telecommunications Supervisor to join our team at Mission Support and Test Services, LLC (MSTS). This role is crucial for overseeing the operations of our Telecommunications team, which is responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of various IT systems including radio, microwave, telephone, and fiber optics. As an IT Network Telecommunications Supervisor, you will play a key role in ensuring the security of the United States and its allies through high-hazard experimentation and incident response capabilities.

What You'll Do

• Supervise day-to-day operations of the Telecommunications team, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and company standards.
• Conduct performance evaluations, approve time, and participate in recruiting, selection, and training of staff.
• Establish work assignments and evaluate tasks to ensure compliance with Integrated Work Control Process requirements.
• Oversee all phases of construction projects, including fiber and copper installation, splicing, and drops.
• Monitor team performance against established metrics and goals.
• Manage material inventory and track labor/material costs for project budgets.
• Serve as an escalation point for the telecommunications team, assisting in diagnosing and triaging user problems.
• Develop strategies for improvement based on customer needs and maintain communication regarding system-wide issues.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or related field, with a minimum of 8 years of progressively responsible experience.
• Strong technical knowledge of RF engineering, signal propagation theory, and operational knowledge of various interconnections.
• Experience in field telecommunication team leadership and understanding of SLAs and KPIs.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, Outlook, and Visio.
• Strong leadership and project management skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively.
