About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Industrial Safety Coordinator to join our team remotely. In this role, you will oversee the preventive management of safety operations at our assigned project site, ensuring compliance with safety standards and practices. As an Industrial Safety Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in promoting a safe working environment and implementing effective safety protocols.

What You'll Do

  • Supervise safety management practices on-site, ensuring adherence to safety standards and operational procedures.
  • Conduct pre-shift safety talks with team members to reinforce safety protocols.
  • Verify that workspaces meet health and safety standards set by the company.
  • Monitor and promote the use of safety tools and practices among supervisors and workers.
  • Participate in daily work planning to ensure safety guidelines are integrated into operational plans.
  • Conduct formal safety inspections and participate in incident investigations.
  • Support the emergency response team during unforeseen events and ensure proper documentation of safety records.
  • Encourage reporting of unsafe acts and conditions, ensuring follow-up on observations made by the team.

Requirements

  • Academic qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Industrial Safety registered with SENESCYT.
  • Certification in electrical risk prevention from an accredited organization.
  • Certification in construction safety from an accredited organization.
  • 3-5 years of experience in industrial construction projects.
  • Strong knowledge of industrial safety regulations and practices.

Nice to Have

  • Experience in leading safety training sessions.
  • Familiarity with safety management software.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in both English and Spanish.
