HVAC Technician - Remote Opportunities Available

About the Role

We currently have an opportunity for an HVAC Technician remote to join our Department of Corrections and the Ministry of Justice team and play a key role in our high-performance Facilities team. Reporting to the Site Facilities Manager, you'll help deliver high-quality outcomes that support our essential services.

What You'll Do

• Support service and project delivery under the direction of designated leadership, working within defined parameters such as time, cost, and resources.
• Maintain positive customer relationships and provide technical support as needed.
• Assist in developing specifications, engineering designs, scopes, costs, and quotes for solutions.
• Contribute to risk management, service improvements, and business development initiatives when requested.
• Conduct yourself professionally at all times, especially in challenging work environments like prisons.

Requirements

• Solid understanding of NZ electrical rules and regulations and are EST registered with the EWRB.
• NZQA Level 4 Air Conditioning qualification is an advantage.
• Valid New Zealand driver’s licence.
• Demonstrate strong service and project delivery experience.
• Strong personal management, ownership, motivation, and a positive, outcome-focused attitude.

Nice to Have

• Experience in facilities management or building maintenance.
• Ability to communicate effectively with all levels and follow directions from leadership.
• Strategic thinking and problem-solving skills.
