HSE Manager - Remote Opportunity at Norsk Hydro

About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated HSE Manager to join Norsk Hydro in a remote capacity. As an HSE Manager, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the health, safety, and environmental standards are upheld across our operations. What You'll Do

• Implement and optimize the HSE plan across the site, ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Conduct risk assessments related to workplace safety and environmental impact, developing appropriate preventive action plans.
• Facilitate the flow of information and support team engagement in HSE initiatives.
• Design and deliver training programs on HSE issues to enhance team awareness and compliance.
• Monitor evolving regulations and ensure daily compliance within the site.
• Establish and track key performance indicators to evaluate HSE performance.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on industrial and human performance.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in HSE or a related field with significant experience in an industrial environment.
• Proven experience in a similar role, ideally within the metallurgical sector.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to mobilize teams around HSE objectives.
• Excellent communication skills for educating and informing all organizational levels.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Office Suite.
• In-depth knowledge of HSE regulations and standards, including ISO 14001 and ISO 45001.
• Ability to conduct internal and external audits effectively.
• Fluent in English (B2-C1 level) with strong writing and speaking skills.
