Senior Full Stack Software Engineer - FinTech Solutions

About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Full Stack Software Engineer to join our dynamic team at Timeline, a leading financial technology company. This remote position allows you to work from anywhere while contributing to our mission of helping millions plan and invest for their retirement with confidence.

What You'll Do

• Collaborate with a global, remote-first engineering team to develop and maintain our financial planning solutions.
• Utilize our technology stack, including Elixir, Phoenix, Elm, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and Rust, to build robust and scalable applications.
• Participate in 4-week development cycles, working asynchronously with product teams to deliver major user-facing features.
• Write maintainable and robust code, ensuring high code quality through testing and code reviews.
• Engage in continual learning and experimentation with new features and technologies, including AI tools.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of software development experience, with proficiency in Elixir.
• Strong understanding of web technologies and systems architecture.
• Ability to write maintainable code and enjoy writing tests.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to manage time effectively as a remote employee.
• Empathy for the challenges faced by financial planners is a plus.

Nice to Have

• Experience building SaaS products.
• Familiarity with AI tools, such as LLMs and vector databases.
