About the Role

We are seeking an experienced HR Technology and Innovation Director to join our team in Portugal. This is a unique opportunity to lead the transformation of HR technology within a global enterprise, focusing on digital HR, automation, and AI-enabled services. As the HR Technology and Innovation Director, you will play a critical role in modernizing the HR technology ecosystem and enhancing employee experience.

What You'll Do

  • Define and execute a global HR technology strategy aligned to enterprise priorities.
  • Drive digital transformation across HR services, including automation, AI, and analytics.
  • Partner with senior HR stakeholders to shape roadmaps, investment cases, and outcomes.
  • Modernize and optimize the HR tech ecosystem, focusing on platform strategy and vendor governance.
  • Embed responsible AI principles and GDPR-aligned data practices within HR processes.
  • Lead adoption and change initiatives to improve HR digital fluency and employee experience outcomes.

Requirements

  • 12+ years of experience in HR Technology, Digital HR, or HR Transformation within large enterprises.
  • Strong knowledge of Workday/HCM ecosystems, integrations, and platform optimization.
  • Proven track record in delivering automation and AI-enabled HR services.
  • Experience operating in matrixed global organizations with multiple stakeholders.
  • Strong governance mindset regarding privacy, risk, compliance, and ethical AI considerations.
  • Executive presence with the ability to influence HR, IT, and business leadership.

Nice to Have

  • Experience in the pharmaceutical manufacturing industry.
  • Familiarity with advanced workforce analytics tools.
  • Knowledge of GDPR regulations and compliance practices.
