HGV Driver - European Tramping Role

About the Role

Join Pineapple Contracts as an HGV Driver in a remote role, delivering our innovative furniture solutions across the UK and Europe. As an HGV Driver, you will be the face of our company, ensuring safe and professional delivery of our products. This role involves European tramping, covering routes through Germany, France, Poland, and the UK. You will work 45 core hours, Monday to Friday, with the potential for overtime.

What You'll Do

• Provide white glove delivery and installation of our furniture products.
• Ensure safe, legal, and efficient delivery of goods, complying with all UK and EU driving regulations.
• Load and unload vehicles, including heavy lifting, while adhering to health and safety procedures.
• Conduct daily vehicle inspections and report any faults or defects immediately.
• Maintain the vehicle in a clean and presentable condition at all times.
• Secure loads safely and ensure products are protected during transit.
• Complete delivery paperwork, including PODs, CMRs, and customs documentation when required.
• Plan routes efficiently and report any delays or incidents promptly.

Requirements

• A full and valid UK driving licence with HGV Class 2 entitlement.
• Must hold a valid CPC card and Digital Tachograph card.
• Willingness to undertake European tramping and UK deliveries, including multiple nights away from home.
• Comfortable sleeping in the HGV for up to a week at a time.
• Physically fit and able to perform heavy lifting and manual handling tasks safely.
• Superb customer service skills with a polite and professional manner.
• Reliable and punctual with a commitment to teamwork.
• Some experience in woodwork, carpentry, or furniture assembly is desirable but not essential.
