About the Role

Centurion is seeking a Healthcare IT Consultant to join our team in a fully remote capacity. This role will focus on supporting laboratory operations and utilizing Oracle Cerner Millennium. You will play a crucial role in optimizing healthcare IT solutions for our federal government clients.

What You'll Do

  • Support healthcare IT in a clinical, operational, or analyst capacity with a focus on laboratory operations and workflows.
  • Utilize your hands-on experience with Oracle Cerner Millennium, particularly PathNet and lab-related workflows.
  • Assist in EHR/LIS implementations or migrations, including requirements gathering, testing, go-live support, and sustainment.
  • Collaborate on troubleshooting interfaces/integrations, including HL7 concepts and lab result flows.
  • Produce clear artifacts such as workflow maps, requirements documentation, test evidence, and status reports.
  • Provide PMO support, including risk tracking, schedules, and meeting facilitation.
  • Analyze and optimize end-to-end laboratory clinical and business workflows.
  • Facilitate workshops and align best-practice workflows between EHR vendors and laboratory end users.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience supporting healthcare IT in a clinical or operational capacity.
  • Proven experience with Oracle Cerner Millennium, especially in laboratory workflows.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work with clinical leaders and technical teams.
  • Experience producing documentation and artifacts for project management.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline (informatics, computer science, healthcare, biology, laboratory sciences).

Nice to Have

  • Experience with modernization programs in federal or large enterprise environments.
  • Familiarity with healthcare regulatory requirements (e.g., HIPAA, HITECH).
  • Certifications in Oracle Cerner/Millennium solutions.
  • Background in lab quality/regulatory support.
