Head of Accounting /​ Director of Finance - Remote

About the Role

Eigen Labs is seeking a talented Head of Accounting / Director of Finance to lead our accounting function and ensure financial integrity as we scale. This full-time position is fully remote, allowing you to work from anywhere while collaborating with our Seattle-based team.

What You Will Do

• Lead, develop, and support the accounting team while driving automation and efficient operations.
• Build cross-functional relationships to drive process improvements, ensuring smooth operations and resolving issues.
• Support corporate planning processes with financial insights and forecasts.
• Provide guidance in all aspects of accounting, ensuring compliance with GAAP and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with other departments to align financial strategies and support overall business objectives.
• Support internal and external audits and navigate the evolving regulatory landscape.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA strongly preferred.
• 10+ years of relevant, hands-on accounting experience, including ownership of close, controls, and audit processes, ideally in a high-growth startup or crypto environment.
• Hands-on experience with crypto-native accounting, including token-related activities, treasury management, and on-chain/off-chain reconciliation.
• Strong working knowledge of US GAAP and familiarity with international accounting standards.
• Deep understanding of cryptocurrency tax, regulatory compliance, risk management, and internal controls.
• Experience supporting audits and tax compliance from either side of the table, ideally both.
• Resourceful self-management skills with strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

• Competitive salary range of $200,000 - $240,000 USD, reflecting compensation for candidates located in U.S. Tier 1 markets.
