Hardware Engineer - Remote Opportunity at Babcock International

About the Role

We are seeking a talented Hardware Engineer to join our team at Babcock International. This Hardware Engineer remote position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the design and development of critical defence systems. As a key member of our team, you will be involved in the full engineering product lifecycle, ensuring the delivery of high-quality engineering services.

What You'll Do

• Take ownership of hardware-based design activities, producing equipment specifications and associated documentation.
• Conduct technical investigations and risk assessments to ensure compliance with applicable standards.
• Collaborate closely with Systems Engineers to develop technical solutions and design improvements.
• Produce high-quality technical documentation, including detailed product design artifacts and drawings.
• Work independently while effectively managing time and resources to meet project deadlines.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or recognized engineering qualifications.
• Approximately 2 years of relevant experience in technical or engineering roles.
• Proficiency in applicable engineering toolsets such as PLM or MRP systems.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team to achieve desired results.

Nice to Have

• Experience in creating Product Baseline documentation.
• Familiarity with design, simulation, and analysis software.
• Knowledge of product safety and risk management.
