Grants Officer - Remote Position for Circular Economy Project
About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated Grants Officer to join our team in a remote position focused on supporting the circular economy initiatives in the Philippines. As a Grants Officer, you will play a crucial role in managing grant components of the EU-GEPP SO2 project, ensuring effective implementation and monitoring of grants that promote sustainable practices.
What You'll Do
- Coordinate and manage the Grants Component of the EU-GEPP SO2 project in collaboration with local government units (LGUs) and stakeholders.
- Design and launch calls for grant proposals, ensuring adherence to UNDP rules and policies.
- Facilitate capacity-building workshops for local innovators and civil society organizations (CSOs) to foster innovative ideas.
- Conduct due diligence activities for each grantee before contracting and finalize grant agreements.
- Monitor the implementation of awarded grants and ensure compliance with performance indicators and budgets.
- Document best practices and lessons learned, contributing to knowledge management and information sharing.
- Prepare reports and deliverables for the Grants Program, ensuring quality and adherence to UNDP guidelines.
- Lead logistical and financial management related to grants, including training and support for grantees.
Requirements
- Advanced university degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, Economics, or related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant professional experience in grant management, preferably within development organizations.
- Experience in circular economy, green economy, or climate change initiatives is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of UNDP financial rules, policies, and procedures.
- Fluency in English and Filipino is required.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders and manage multiple priorities.
- Demonstrated commitment to gender equality and inclusivity in project implementation.
Nice to Have
- Experience in managing grant programs with public organizations.
