General Litigation Solicitor - Remote Opportunity

About the Role

We are seeking a General Litigation Solicitor to join the National Treasury Management Agency (NTMA) in a remote capacity. This role is essential for managing a diverse portfolio of claims, including employer liability, public liability, motor, and property damage claims. As a General Litigation Solicitor, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that the liabilities of State authorities are managed effectively and ethically.

What You'll Do

• Manage a designated portfolio of claims, ensuring compliance with legal standards and best practices.
• Develop and maintain strong working relationships with clients and stakeholders.
• Provide legal advice on ancillary matters as required.
• Stay updated on relevant areas of law and practice, including developments in other jurisdictions.
• Assist the Head of Litigation with various tasks and projects as needed.
• Perform other duties as delegated, contributing to the overall success of the General Litigation Unit.

Requirements

• Qualified to practice as a solicitor in Ireland with a minimum of five years’ post-qualification experience in personal injury and property damage claims.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to articulate complex legal concepts clearly.
• Proven ability to work collaboratively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Capacity to self-manage and complete tasks promptly while meeting deadlines.
• Pragmatic and practical approach to problem-solving, with a focus on achieving favorable outcomes.

Nice to Have

• Experience in public sector litigation or claims management.
• Familiarity with risk management practices in State authorities.
• Knowledge of relevant legislation and case law affecting personal injury and property damage claims.
