About the Role

We are seeking a talented Freelance Senior Linguist to join our innovative team. In this role, you will provide essential translation and copy editing services, specifically focusing on Swahili language content within the Marketing and Life Sciences sectors. As a Freelance Senior Linguist, you will work remotely, allowing you to manage your own schedule while contributing to a global business journey.

What You'll Do

  • Translate and edit content for Investigator-facing, Patient-facing, and Pharmacy materials.
  • Utilize various CAT tools for efficient translation processes, ensuring high-quality translations that resonate with cultural nuances.
  • Collaborate with a network of linguistic resources across North America, Europe, and Asia.
  • Maintain professionalism and accuracy in all translations.
  • Engage in continuous learning and adaptation to new tools and technologies.
  • Contribute to the innovation in language services, supporting brands in reaching international audiences effectively.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years' experience in translating and copy editing.
  • Professional level understanding of English (US/GB).
  • Native level expertise in Swahili.
  • Familiarity with CAT tools such as XTM, Phrase, Trados, Jira, and Smartling.
  • Working knowledge of MS Office applications.
  • Translation degree or equivalent experience preferred.
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.

Nice to Have

  • Experience in the Marketing and Life Sciences sectors.
  • Knowledge of additional languages.
  • Experience with project management tools.
