As a Freelance Senior Linguist, you will leverage your expertise in Oromo and English to deliver precise and culturally relevant translations.

What You'll Do

  • Translate and edit marketing and life sciences content to ensure clarity and accuracy.
  • Utilize CAT tools such as XTM, Phrase, and Trados to enhance translation efficiency.
  • Collaborate with a global team of linguistic professionals to maintain high standards of quality.
  • Understand and convey cultural nuances in language to ensure effective communication.
  • Engage in diverse projects across various industries, contributing to the company's growth.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in translation and copy editing, specifically in marketing and life sciences.
  • Professional level understanding of English (US/GB) and native level expertise in Oromo.
  • Familiarity with CAT tools such as XTM, Phrase, Trados, Jira, and Smartling.
  • Working knowledge of MS Office applications.
  • Desirable: Translation degree or equivalent experience.

Nice to Have

  • Experience in translating materials related to healthcare or pharmaceutical industries.
  • Knowledge of additional languages.
