About the Role

We are looking for a creative Freelance Japanese Localization Specialist to join us on a freelance basis. What You'll Do

  • Adhere to style guides to deliver high-quality translations and creative transcreations.
  • Translate and proofread content for various channels, including landing pages and social media.
  • Conduct linguistic quality assurance (LQA) and functionality checks.
  • Maintain and refine language-specific resources like style guides.
  • Anticipate a lighter initial workload with scope for increased involvement.

Requirements

  • Fluent in Japanese at a native level.
  • Strong verbal and written command of English.
  • Proven experience in SEO and LQA.
  • Experience in website/app localization and translation.
  • Experience using Translation Management Systems.
  • A flair for creative translation and copywriting.
  • Relevant academic or professional background in communication, marketing, or linguistics.
