About the Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented Freelance French General Editor to join our remote team at Omniscient Digital. As a Freelance French General Editor, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the quality of our content and SEO strategies for B2B software companies. This is a unique opportunity to work with a team that has successfully collaborated with renowned companies such as Jasper, Adobe, and Hotjar.

What You'll Do

• Edit long-form articles, blogs, and SEO content in fluent Standard French.
• Ensure grammatical accuracy, clarity, tone, and voice in all edited materials.
• Provide constructive feedback to writers and maintain editorial consistency using style guides.
• Fact-check content and optimize for SEO while ensuring readability.
• Manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines effectively.
• Communicate regularly with the editorial lead regarding project status and updates.
• Utilize your strong understanding of French grammar, spelling, and style rules to enhance content quality.
• Work independently in a fully remote environment, demonstrating adaptability to changing guidelines.

Requirements

• Fluent in Standard French with native or near-native fluency.
• 2+ years of experience editing B2B, SaaS, or technical/SEO content.
• Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to seeking feedback.
• Intellectually curious and a critical thinker with a process-oriented mindset.
• Portfolio of 3–5 samples of written or edited content in Standard French required.

Nice to Have

• Experience in content marketing or digital marketing.
