Food Service Attendant - Deli Operations (Part-Time)

We are looking for a dedicated Food Service Attendant to join our team at Jubitz. This part-time position involves supporting deli operations in Portland, Oregon. As a Food Service Attendant, you will play a key role in ensuring that our customers receive exceptional service while enjoying fresh and delicious food. What You'll Do

• Greet customers warmly and respond to their inquiries regarding menu items and specials.
• Operate the cash register accurately and handle cash transactions with precision.
• Prepare food items using deli equipment such as slicers, ovens, and fryers, ensuring adherence to quality standards.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation in the deli area, including equipment and displays.
• Promote deli items to customers, enhancing their dining experience.
• Assist in filling and rotating displays to ensure product freshness.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
• Complete other duties as assigned by supervisors to support overall deli functions.

Requirements

• 1 year of food service experience is preferred.
• Must obtain an Oregon Food Handler's Card within 30 days of hire.
• Must be 18 years of age or older to apply.
• Experience operating a cash register and counting change is required.
• Strong interpersonal skills to interact effectively with customers and coworkers.
• Ability to maintain punctual, regular, and predictable attendance.
• A genuine passion for serving people and providing excellent customer service.
