Expert Electronic Engineer - Quantum Computing

About the Role

We are seeking an Expert Electronic Engineer to join our innovative team at Eniquantic. As an Expert Electronic Engineer, you will collaborate with physicists and software engineers to develop a quantum computer based on neutral atoms. In this role, you will focus on designing electronic boards for the generation, acquisition, and processing of analog and digital signals. These boards will form the control electronics for the quantum computer.

What You'll Do

• Develop and design electronic boards for the generation, acquisition, processing, and timing of analog and digital signals, collaborating with external partners as needed.
• Work on modules for input-output of analog and digital signals based on microcontrollers or FPGAs, low-phase-noise DDS modules, PID servo controllers, lock-in systems, phase-locked systems, and electronics for optical signal detection.
• Coordinate and collaborate on internal and external projects for the development of electronic modules.
• Engage with quantum engineering and software engineering teams during the definition, development, and integration of electronic modules into the control system.
• Utilize your expertise in ECAD software and electronic circuit simulation to enhance design processes.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Electronic Engineering or Physics.
• At least 5 years of experience, including a PhD, in the design and realization of electronic systems for high-tech applications such as optical sensors and acquisition systems.
• Strong knowledge and experience in using ECAD software and electronic circuit simulation.
• Proficient in designing and developing analog electronic boards, particularly for high-speed processing of low-phase-noise RF signals.
• Experience in developing and programming firmware for electronic modules based on FPGAs for the acquisition, generation, and processing of digital and analog input-output signals.
• Ability to work in multidisciplinary teams with autonomy and proactivity.
• Excellent command of the English language.
• Willingness to travel as needed.
