About the Role

Join Skyscanner as an ESG Intern and embark on a unique journey to make a genuine impact in the travel industry. This ESG Internship Programme offers a hybrid work model, allowing you to work remotely while also engaging with our teams in Edinburgh or Glasgow. As an intern, you will play a vital role in shaping our Environmental, Social, and Governance initiatives, contributing to our mission of becoming the world's number one travel ally.

What You'll Do

• Build engaging internal communications by supporting a structured ESG/DEI communications calendar and creating impactful content.
• Create scalable content using tools like Canva, designing templates, blogs, vlogs, and Slack updates that simplify complex topics.
• Support campaigns and events, helping deliver key moments such as Pride activations, workshops, and external events from planning to wrap-up.
• Coordinate logistics like a pro by managing event communications, materials, and internal summaries, ideally utilizing AI and automation.
• Drive community and charity initiatives by supporting volunteering days, connection programs, and internal engagement materials.
• Conduct research and insight gathering, benchmarking ESG approaches and exploring new ideas in sustainability, accessibility, and partnerships.
• Improve operational efficiency by helping automate updates, streamline processes, and keep multiple projects running smoothly.

Requirements

• Curious and purpose-driven, with a genuine interest in ESG, DEI, and making a positive impact.
• A strong communicator, both written and verbal, capable of delivering messages clearly and confidently.
• Organized and detail-oriented, able to juggle multiple tasks without dropping the ball.
• Proactive and hands-on, spotting needs and taking initiative.
• Digitally savvy or eager to learn, comfortable with tools like Canva, Slack, and Confluence.
• Collaborative by nature, enjoying teamwork and building strong relationships.
• Currently studying or recently graduated in ESG, Sustainability, DEI, HR, Communications, English, or a related field.
