About the Role

We are seeking an Environmental Geology Specialist to join our team remotely. This position will support the Technical Direction in various projects related to environmental geology, particularly in the management of excavation materials and waste. As an Environmental Geology Specialist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring compliance with environmental regulations and contributing to sustainable infrastructure development.

What You'll Do

  • Assist in the design of road infrastructure projects with a focus on managing excavation materials and waste.
  • Conduct preliminary and detailed environmental assessments of sites, identifying potential contaminations and defining site-specific characterizations.
  • Collaborate in drafting and coordinating environmental characterization plans, risk analyses, and remediation projects.
  • Perform field inspections and supervise environmental investigations.
  • Support technical and specialized activities, ensuring the quality of project documentation.
  • Prepare and manage technical-administrative requirements related to the activation of work or service contracts associated with environmental activities.
  • Assist in the verification and validation of projects in your area of expertise.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Geology, Environmental Engineering, or a related field.
  • Excellent knowledge of sector regulations regarding Environmental Geological Design and Public Procurement.
  • Ability to analyze and process environmental data from geological surveys using GIS and other management systems.
  • Familiarity with the legislative framework, particularly D.Lgs. 152/06 and DPR 120/2017.
  • Experience in managing technical, administrative, and accounting aspects of contracts related to environmental investigations.
  • At least 2 years of experience in environmental geology design, preferably in linear transport infrastructures.
  • Proficiency in GIS and CAD software, as well as Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Access).

Nice to Have

  • Membership in a professional order.
  • Knowledge of technical-administrative procedures conducted by public administration during project design, procurement, and execution.
  • Familiarity with Building Information Modeling (BIM) tools and related regulations.
