About the Role

We're hiring an Entry-Level Java Software Engineer to join our dynamic team at BeaconFire Inc. This remote opportunity allows you to develop applications using cutting-edge technologies like Java 8/JEE, Angular 2+, and React.js. As a Java Software Engineer, you'll write scalable, secure, maintainable code that powers our clients’ platforms.

What You'll Do

• Develop applications using Java 8/JEE and other modern technologies.
• Create, deploy, and maintain automated system tests.
• Collaborate with testers to understand and resolve defects in a timely manner.
• Support continuous improvement by investigating alternatives and presenting them for architectural review.
• Work closely with team members to achieve shared user story and sprint goals.

Requirements

• Experience in Java and JavaScript programming languages.
• Basic understanding of the software development life cycle.
• Familiarity with object-oriented programming (OOP) principles and common data structures.
• Knowledge of relational databases and basic SQL skills.
• 0-1 year of practical experience in Java coding is preferred.

Nice to Have

• Master’s Degree in Computer Science (CS).
• Experience with Spring, Maven, and Angular frameworks.
• Familiarity with contemporary Java technologies like Weblogic, RabbitMQ, and Tomcat.
• Knowledge of JSP, J2EE, and JDBC.
