Engineering Product Manager - Remote Opportunity

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Engineering Product Manager to join our team in a remote capacity. In this role, you will report to the BMW Project Chief Engineer and be responsible for developing and delivering cost-competitive designs that meet customer requirements. Your leadership will be crucial in ensuring flawless product development and launch.

What You'll Do

• Develop and deliver cost-competitive designs on time, within budget, and to quality targets.
• Lead project engineering for awarded products, focusing on core electronics through development, launch, and production.
• Interface with customers to set the product roadmap and work with discipline leaders to achieve project goals.
• Manage project engineering budgets, forecasts, and expense control, including resources and CAPEX.
• Organize and lead global engineering teams across various disciplines such as hardware, software, systems, and cybersecurity.
• Conduct engineering meetings and manage engineering open issues lists effectively.
• Evaluate product changes and manage engineering risks that could impact project milestones.
• Participate actively in engineering process improvements and continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a leadership role within engineering.
• Degree in Electronics, Telecommunications, or Industrial Engineering.
• Strong technical and management skills.
• High proficiency in English; German language skills are a plus.
