Engineering Manager - Retail Trading (Remote)

We are seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to lead our Retail Trading team in a fully remote capacity. As an Engineering Manager, you will play a critical role in shaping the technical vision and guiding a talented team of engineers to build and scale innovative retail trading products. This Engineering Manager position is ideal for someone passionate about technology and leadership, ready to drive excellence in a fast-paced environment.

What You'll Do

• Lead and mentor a high-performing, cross-functional engineering team, fostering a collaborative and inclusive environment.
• Partner with the Product Manager to define the product roadmap and technical strategy for our retail trading platform.
• Drive the end-to-end delivery of new features and products, ensuring high-quality and timely execution.
• Act as the primary engineering voice, collaborating closely with product, design, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment.
• Proactively identify and address technical, process, or resource gaps within the engineering team.
• Guide the team in making sound architectural decisions for scalable and secure systems.
• Champion best practices for software development, including agile methodologies and CI/CD processes.
• Effectively communicate project status, risks, and technical details to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Requirements

• Proven leadership experience in managing and mentoring software engineering teams, preferably in a cross-functional environment.
• Strong technical acumen with a background in software development, familiar with technologies like Golang, Ruby on Rails, and Postgres.
• Experience with native mobile development (iOS, Android) and/or cross-platform frameworks like React Native.
• Experience working as a key engineering partner with product managers to deliver successful products.
• Deep understanding of the retail trading or fintech industry.
• Excellent command of English and proficiency in spoken Mandarin.
• Experience designing scalable and high-performance systems for large-scale applications.
• A collaborative spirit with a passion for building world-class products.
