Engineering Lead - Growth and Monetization

About the Role

We’re looking for a hands-on Engineering Lead to join our Growth and Monetization team at Hex Technologies. This Engineering Lead remote position is ideal for a technical leader who thinks like a business owner and has a strong product sense. You will not just write code; you will obsess over conversion rates, user experience, and business trade-offs to drive significant outcomes for our customers.

What You'll Do

• Serve as a player-coach for a small, cross-functional team driving Hex’s growth and monetization initiatives.
• Build growth-focused product features, creating full-stack experiences using React, Typescript, and Python.
• Extend Hex’s backend monetization systems to support novel pricing models and quick iterations as the AI landscape evolves.
• Design, run, and iterate on A/B tests across the funnel, balancing experimentation with product sense.
• Take responsibility for key business outcomes like trial-to-paid conversion and user activation rates.
• Collaborate closely with Product, Design, Data, and Marketing teams to identify growth opportunities.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience as a full-stack software engineer.
• 2+ years as a technical lead or hands-on engineering manager.
• Proficiency in frontend (React/TypeScript) and backend systems.
• Strong business mindset with a focus on delivering value to customers.
• Experience with B2B SaaS, experimentation, billing, and collaboration products.

Nice to Have

• Experience building growth engineering teams at startups or scale-ups.
• Background in analytics, data tools, or developer-focused products.
• Familiarity with growth loops, funnel optimization, and activation frameworks.
