Data Engineer - Remote Opportunity with Prada Group

About the Role

We are looking for a Data Engineer to join our global Cloud Data Platform team at Prada Group. This Data Engineer remote position will play a key role in managing data operations, focusing on sales, customer, and marketing data.

What You'll Do

• Gain a deep understanding of business and technical needs to support model evolution and drive digital transformation.
• Design, maintain, and enhance key datasets to ensure they are high-quality and easily accessible by enterprise users.
• Analyze and develop data operations and pipelines in line with enterprise guidelines and best practices.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to build scalable and agile solutions.
• Develop, deploy, and manage highly efficient and automated data pipelines using cloud-based technologies.
• Continuously adapt to evolving requirements by maintaining and improving existing data pipelines.

Requirements

• Bachelor or Master's degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, or related STEM discipline.
• 3+ years of experience in intensive data operations in the context of Big Data and cloud infrastructures.
• Strong experience in analytics within the retail industry, focusing on modeling and leveraging sales and customer KPIs.
• Deep knowledge of SQL and Spark-related programming languages.
• Proficiency in configuring and utilizing cloud infrastructures, preferably Microsoft Azure services.
• Fluent in Italian and English, both written and spoken.

Nice to Have

• Experience in developing microservices and API solutions.
• Familiarity with stream-processing systems and lambda architectures.
• A good knowledge of retail and customer-related processes.
