About the Role

We are seeking an Embedded Linux Software Engineer to join our innovative team. This role offers a unique opportunity to work remotely while contributing to cutting-edge projects in embedded systems. What You'll Do

  • Port the operating system and integrate with ODM software.
  • Fix build issues when transitioning to new platforms and apply patches to debug open-source software.
  • Research and implement technical growth strategies to enhance system performance.
  • Collaborate closely with the director and other team members to drive innovation.
  • Contribute to the development of Linux kernel modules and utilize the kernel build system effectively.

Requirements

  • Proven experience with embedded build systems, preferably Buildroot, OpenWRT, or other WRT-Variants.
  • Strong proficiency with CLANG and a solid understanding of working with patches on open-source software.
  • Deep knowledge of network protocols and their implementation.
  • Experience managing the process from a reference board to production.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating strong problem-solving skills.

Nice to Have

  • Experience developing Linux kernel modules.
  • Familiarity with the Wireless and Linux network stack.
  • Previous experience in a fast-paced startup environment.
