Elementary School Tutor & Teacher (K-5) - Remote Opportunity
About the Role
We are looking for passionate and dedicated Elementary School Tutors & Teachers (K-5) to join Prep Academy Tutors. This remote opportunity allows you to work with students in Wheaton, Glen Ellyn, Winfield, Carol Stream, or Glendale Heights. As an Elementary School Tutor, you will provide personalized academic support to help students thrive in their learning journey.
What You'll Do
- Provide tailored academic support based on expertise and alignment with Illinois curriculum standards.
- Offer remedial or enrichment instruction to meet each student's unique needs.
- Assign supplemental materials to enhance understanding and retention of concepts.
- Maintain open communication with parents/guardians regarding student progress and goals.
- Adapt teaching methods to accommodate various learning styles and needs.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree required.
- Valid Illinois State teaching certificate or equivalent, or currently enrolled in a teacher certification program.
- 2+ years of teaching experience in a private, public, or charter school is preferred.
- Experience as a lecturer or course instructor at an accredited U.S. college or university is a plus.
- Master’s or PhD students with teaching assistant experience are encouraged to apply.
