Educational Coach - Remote Opportunity at VUB

About the Role

We are seeking an Educational Coach to join our team at Vrije Universiteit Brussel (VUB). This remote educational coach position plays a crucial role in supporting and guiding our childcare professionals at VUB's daycare centers. What You'll Do

• Coach and guide childcare professionals, helping them develop their skills in line with VUB's pedagogical vision.
• Participate actively in daily operations, observing practices and providing constructive feedback.
• Identify and signal developmental needs through observation of both children and staff.
• Facilitate communication between caregivers and parents, ensuring a smooth transition for children.
• Engage in professional development activities, including meetings and training sessions, to continuously improve yourself and the organization.

Requirements

• A bachelor’s degree in Pedagogy, Education, or a related field that meets the requirements of Kind&Gezin.
• Understanding of young children's needs and experiences in the childcare sector is a plus.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey complex pedagogical concepts simply.
• A coaching attitude and the ability to support staff effectively.
• Fluency in Dutch; knowledge of other languages is an advantage.
